Ingredients

  • 4 – 5 medium sized Kariba Bream
  • 1 cup Baker’s Inn breadcrumbs using Baker’s Inn Brown bread
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp dried parsley
  • 1 tsp dried sage
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • Oil for frying

Method

1.    Get your ingredients together. De-scale and gut your fish and set aside.
2.    Put breadcrumbs (see breadcrumbs recipes here  ) in a wide flat plate. Season with salt, parsley and sage. Give a good mix until well incorporated. Place the egg in another wide flat plate.
3.    Take a whole Kariba bream and coat it with the egg. Shake off any excess. Coat the fish in the seasoned breadcrumbs and shake off any excess.
4.    Heat oil in pan, add the fish and fry each side for about 5 minutes or until golden brown. Repeat process with the rest of the fish. Enjoy!
