Baked Coated Fish

Baked Coated Fish

Make this baked fish coated with Baker’s Inn homemade breadcrumbs. The Bakers’ Inn homemade breadcrumbs used here have been seasoned with thyme, giving them a lovely aroma and taste to the fish. They also aid in giving the finish the final browned look and crispy taste. It’s best served straight from the pan with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice to heighten the flavours in this dish.

Preparation Time

25 minutes

Ingredients

  • 250 g Baker's Inn Homemade Breadcrumbs
  • 1 kg Tilapia Fillets, skin off
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup flour
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme or herb of your choice
  • 2 tbsp. oil

Method

  1. Get your ingredients together.
  2. Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Line an oven tray with heavy duty foil paper and lightly grease it with some oil.
  3. Break the egg into a bowl. Add garlic, beat and set aside.
  4. Put flour into a wide, flat plate. Add salt and mix.
  5. Place breadcrumbs into another flat wide plate and add the fresh herb.
  6. Take set aside beaten egg, dip each fillet into the egg then roll over in the seasoned flour and coat evenly. Shake off any excess coating. Dip the coated fish back into the egg again then into the breadcrumbs. Again, ensure an even coating on the fillet.
  7. Place coated fillet in prepared oven tray. Repeat process until all the fillets are coated. Drizzle a little oil over the coated fish.
  8. Bake in preheat oven for 30 min or until golden brown, crisp and tender. Enjoy!
